1.Basic performance of the power vehicle

2.On-board systems

1) Vehicle speed. The power vehicle uses Dongfeng Motor’s engine and chassis and can move at speeds of more than 89 km/ h.

2) Load capacity. In addition to considering the total weight of all equipment for the emergency power supply, there is a margin of 10% to 15% of the vehicle’s load capacity.

3) Humanized operation and maintenance space. When starting and shutting down the unit and observing the instruments, the operator can do it in the in-vehicle operation room. The carriage is spacious and equipped with ancillary facilities to facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of the unit. The operating room is equipped with computers, air conditioners, sofas and other facilities, providing a good working environment for the operators when power is maintained in harsh outdoor conditions.

4) Safety measures. Fire extinguishers are provided at the door inside the carriages, smoke detectors, AC/DC explosion-proof lighting and emergency lights are installed inside the carriages, and there are convenient grounding rods and grounding wires to ensure the safety of the power supply vehicles. It is equipped with an intelligent fire extinguishing system that can operate unattended.

2. Diesel generator sets

1) Diesel engines are selected from Cummins, Yuchai, Weichai, etc.

2) The generator is a brushless self-excited AC synchronous generator from Stamford, Leroy Somer, Marathon, etc.

3) The installation base of the generator set is a bottom-mounted oil tank structure. The oil tank can hold more than 8 hours of oil to meet the requirements of the unit’s operation.

4) The power of the generator set is 300kW. Equipped with cylinder liner water preheating and start-up battery float charging devices, always on standby, the generator set can be fully loaded within 12 seconds after startup, fully meeting the requirements for emergency rapid power supply.

3 Control and operating system

1) The control panel that comes with the unit provides the function of manually starting the unit, can automatically monitor the operation of the unit, provides the protection function of the unit, and provides the indicator table of all parameters of the unit operation on the control panel panel for intuitive viewing of the unit status.

2) Emergency stop button. Press in case of an emergency with the unit. The emergency stop button will control the unit to stop immediately. The button resets when it is confirmed that the unit fault has been eliminated.

3) Micro air switch. When the current is too high and exceeds the set value of the air switch, it will automatically open.

4) When abnormal conditions such as low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, and overspeed of the unit occur, it will automatically alarm or shut down.

4. Outgoing cable system

The power cables of the power vehicle are selected as YC series heavy-duty rubber-sheathed flexible cables, with a length of 30m, to meet the needs of emergency power supply in various special application scenarios. Electrically controlled reels can be used for cable retraction and extension.

3. Unit shock absorption

The power vehicle uses rubber shock-absorbing pads made by patented technology for shock absorption. The shock-absorbing pad consists of a bowl-shaped upper cover plate and a funnel-shaped bottom plate with rubber material sandwiched between them. This structure has a high load-bearing capacity and a low stiffness and a large damping ratio. The shock-absorbing pads are less likely to cause resonance during vibration, and the large damping ratio causes the vibration to attenuate quickly. When the rubber pads are damaged in extreme circumstances, the unit will not suffer structural damage due to the damage of the rubber pads.

2 Noise reduction technology

The noise level of a typical diesel generator set in operation is around 110 dB. The intake and exhaust Windows of the mobile emergency power supply vehicle are designed with patented technology. The intake and exhaust Windows are opened by gas springs without affecting the unit’s power output and temperature rise requirements, and a set of sound-absorbing baffles are used inside the Windows for noise reduction. The structure is simple, which can both maximize the effective intake and exhaust volume of the unit and meet the requirements for noise reduction. The exhaust system of the power supply vehicle uses A combination of a resistive muffler and an anti-noise device, which can reduce exhaust noise by 35 to 40 dB (A). The side panels of the vehicle are filled with sound-absorbing cotton of a thickness of 50 to 100 mm according to the noise requirements, and rubber sealing strips are installed in all doors and Windows to achieve good sound insulation and noise reduction effects. The power vehicle, after noise reduction treatment, has an average noise level of around 80 dB(A) at a distance of 1 m from the vehicle when fully loaded. The performance is significantly better than that of other similar domestic products.
